Amy & Jamie, engaged
It’s getting a little slow around here as we are in our off season for weddings. However I still have lots of projects I am working on. So I am not complaining, life’s good. This past Sunday I went up to Parkland to shoot an engagement. In my classic tradition of always trying to find out what a couple likes, this time we shot on a ranch with the bride’s white horses.
The weather was very cloudy but let’s be positive and look on the bright side, it did not rain. We also did get our fair share of mosquito bites. Especially me…must be that delicious sweet blood in me. Anyway I am looking forward to their amazing wedding in October.
I love this old rusty looking barn. Check out the colors.

Amy has several horses, this one is my favorite shot of the day

I keep getting calls and emails from clients that don’t understand why my custom prints are so much more than Wallgreens. I did a post on this topic but here is another example. This is a “before shot” straight from the camera. Overcast, around 7pm, very hot and steamy.

And “after” with some TLC (tender loving care).

Big hat baby shower
I’ve known Kristine for about 10 years now, I met her in Tampa when I lived there. She is one of the most electrifying friends I have, when you meet her you can’t help it but like her. She can talk about a hole in the wall and make it sound interesting. Of course after shooting her wedding I became her photographer for life including her maternity images a few weeks ago. She is pregnant with a baby boy (due in September) and on Saturday had her baby shower. I don’t mind shooting baby showers, I mean what is not to like? A room full of beautiful women (including Candace) and me. I remember from Carolina’s baby shower that there are games to be played such as “adult baby diaper”, “belly measure” and my favorite “what’s in the dirty diaper game”. More on that later.
Anyway, I have collected a few images to post here. If you have a baby shower and want us to crash it….call me.
Big fancy hats

Kristine looked stunning as always

Here are just a few cool hats, I have too many to post them all

I see a rubber duck, condoms, 2 cans of something vaginal, could be crotch spray and lolly pops

This one is cute

Candace with her hat which is also a lamp shade

Oh yeah baby, got to love that gas

I was very intrigued to sneak in a real diaper with real poop in that dirty diaper game. That would have been a great youtube clip.

Want a sniff?

How about a taste?

Gifts unwrapping…good times. Check out that mountain of gifts behind Kristine.

“It’s not the beak it’s the motion”. Not sure if this is a toy for babies but it has battery included.

2 cans containing gift cards for “best hat” and “belly measure”. Nice cans!

Raquel & Nathan, married
When: June 21, 2008 • Where: Eden H Real Resort, Punta Cana, DR • Engagement: Las Olas, FL
My apologies for being such a bad blogger, I have so many cool things going on right now and on top of all that I have been watching some soccer action and I am stocked about Germany making it to the final in the Euro 2008. Anyway, here is a beautiful wedding we covered this past weekend in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) at the new Eden H Real Resort. We went for 3 days and had a real nice time there hanging out at the beach having pina colada’s. I wanted to thank Raquel and Nathan for having us shoot the wedding we had a blast. Happy times.

Cool things are brewin
I have a few cool projects on the back burner for a few months now. I am really stoked about them and I can not wait to announce them soon. Stay tuned, I will be posting all about it on my blog. In the past I never posted any boudoir or real sexy sessions as I prefer to keep some things more mysterious. However I wanted to post one teaser from a recent shoot I did at my studio. I have lots more and I will continue the teasing until I am ready to announce my project that will have lots of sexy things included. Hmmm… what could that be? :)
Leaving for Punta Cana (DR) tomorrow morning for a cool wedding. Have a nice weekend!

Viva la Vida
I love many bands, too many to list, one of them that is way up there…. Coldplay, I loved those guys and the music from their first record “Parachutes” which was not a commercial success here in USA. We always need longer to catch up with those great British bands.
Anyway, I got this new record “Viva la Vida” yesterday and I have been listening to it 18 times since, I know that for a fact as iTunes keeps count. What an amazing record. This is the white album for Coldplay. Better than “X&Y”, better than “A rush of blood to the head” and that one was quite amazing. You may have heard the title track in one of Apple’s commercials if not check it out here. (Sure this has nothing to do with Chris Martin, and his wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, name their baby daughter “Apple,” but as further signification of Coldplay’s fanatical obsession with all things Apple-related).
I highly recommend this to everyone. #1 record on iTunes. Go get it!
