KAREN & TOM, MARRIED 03.30.07

CATEGORIZED UNDER: MARRIED

We photographed the wedding of Karen & Tom last Saturday at the Royal Poinciana. The reception was at the posh and very elegant Breakers hotel in Palm Beach. I know Karen was very picky about photography but I think she has nothing to worry about. We nailed it!

Here are some of my picks.

ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING 03.29.07

CATEGORIZED UNDER: PERSONAL

Wow, I am so glad to be back home.. and so are my feet. I think we walked over 50 miles on the showroom floor and from class to class. We got home last night… well we left Vegas last night, but we arrived at 5am so technicaly we got back this morning. Now I know why they called it a “red eye” flight.

We had such a great time at the WPPI. It was the first one for us so we tried to meet and greet as many people as possible. I ran into many people and other shooters I know from Florida and all over the country. I came back with many new ideas and with new inspiration. So here are some of many images I got during the show. Too many to post.

Vegas at night is a totally different city. We did not get to see much of the “outside” but we did have some time the last day to walk around (my feet were not happy, but my wife was).

Ran into the one and only Joe Buissink and Alain Martinez with wife Angie

We ran into Jessica Claire at her Shootsac booth

Liana Lehman was nice meeting you!

We saw this guy “Big Elvis” performing at Bill’s gambling hall. He did sound great… but big was an understatement.

Bellagio has this amazing flower garden.

Prime rib for $13.95. I don’t know about that…

When you leave Vegas, make sure you sit on the right side to see the strip. This was my view last night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! 03.26.07

CATEGORIZED UNDER: PERSONAL

The real reason why I have a Blog is my mom. She used to ask me all the time to email her pictures and call more often (my parents live in Germany.) So I decided to start a Blog and post EVERYTHING I do, professional and personal. By now my mom is not the only one checking here every day, to see what I am up to. I have close to 200 visitors each day and the number is growing daily. I don’t think I could talk to so many people in one month.

Anyway Happy Birthday mom. I’m sorry I can’t be with you this year.

This is a VERY old image, circa 1971… taken on my parents wedding day. I think my dad still has that tie.

My grandfather was an amazing portrait photographer as well for 50 years, he gets the credit for this image.

I also want to congratulate my sister and her husband for the new baby “Marcel” born, 3/24. I am proud of you, little sister. Well done!
