Instead of watching some football, eating some pizza, and drinking beer on Sunday like most guys do, I decided to meet with one of my past brides to trash her dress. I photographed Natalie and Erik’s wedding last year at the Sonesta Beach Resort in Key Biscayne. Their wedding was the very last wedding they had there before they closed the resort. So when we were talking about locations she suggested going back there and shoot. The place was partially demolished, all windows broken and the pool was empty and decorated with graffiti. It was the perfect location for a dress trashing shoot.
Working with Natalie was a pleasure, she is a sweetheart and she never hesitated doing what I wanted, knowing it would make a great picture even if it meant going in a very dirty swamp like water that smelled like rotten eggs and cabbage in her wedding dress. I think it was worth it. I love doing these TTD sessions, who is next?

Want to give my buddy Ryan credit for these 3 images and thank him for coming along, we had a blast.

We found these pillows so I had to use those feathers somehow

Nat you look amazing! I really like this idea, especially doing them with Stephan.
(September 18th, 2007 4:27 PM)Wow, I am overwhelmed with all the comments here, I just posted this and went to get some coffee, I come back and I have 13 comments in 40 minutes. Thank you to everyone, we had the right chemistry. Glad we were able to get so much out of that dress, it really paid for itself ;)
