JENNIFER & CARLOS, MARRIED 11.19.08

CATEGORIZED UNDER: MARRIED, SLIDESHOWS

Jennifer and Carlos had a very laid back and casual Friday night wedding at the Ancient Spanish Monastery in Miami beach. I love shooting there… that place has so many great nooks and each time I shoot there I try something else. Also I normally don’t talk much about vendors, however Gourmet Design Catering deserves a huge plug on my popular blog. Not only did they cook everything from scratch at the venue, but Chef Patrick insisted we eat when the guests ate, so we wouldn’t miss the dancing and partying. The food was finger licking good. You gotta love that Chef!

Anyway, here are a few of my favorite images and also check out the slideshow. I chose that song after seeing how nervous Carlos was about taking pictures…his hands were shaking. This one’s for you Carlos.

THERESE & AMAD, MARRIED 11.13.08

CATEGORIZED UNDER: MARRIED, SLIDESHOWS

I have been waiting to post this Mexico wedding for 2 weeks and now it’s ready. I have said this before many times but this is seriously a good one. We met Therese at a wedding we shot in Panama a few years back. She admitted to me that she did not think we were good at all and that we were missing key moments from the Panama Wedding. However, after she saw the resulting images from that wedding she changed her mind. Not only did she change her mind but she actually planned her wedding around my schedule and availability. Her wedding took place at the incredibly swank Villa Mia in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. View some of the detail shots I took here.

Therese and Amad live in Los Angeles. Even though there is no shortage of talented shooters there, she had us fly from Miami for a long weekend to document her wedding weekend extravaganza in Mexico. It always makes me feel so special when someone goes out of their way to have us cover their destination wedding. We would love to shoot more weddings in California and Mexico, so if you have a destination wedding, call me. We travel!

Therese and Amad! Thank you, thank you and thank you for having us at your wedding, we felt like shooting a best friend’s wedding.

Therese looked smoking hot.

Amad is one of the coolest guys I met. Good times

Glad Candace walked on the rocks during the ceremony to get this shot.

I think I will get a few new canvases from this event for my studio.

Don’t try this at home! Behind that infinity pool there was a 200 ft. cliff. Glad this did not happen.

Mexico west coast has the best sunsets.

VIVIAN & BILL, ENGAGED 11.12.08

CATEGORIZED UNDER: ENGAGED

My close friend Vivian is finally getting married! I feel like I have known her forever. That movie 27 Dresses describes her life best (I personally did not see that girlie movie but that’s what she said). Vivian and her dad own J. Del Olmo Bridal store on Miracle Mile, which I know is the best place down there to get your gown. I send all my brides there, just ask for Vivian, she will take good care of you.

Now after helping hundreds of brides find their wedding dress she will finally put on a wedding dress herself and I could not be more stoked to shoot her wedding in January.  Who else could have shot it? If I did not have to shoot her wedding I might have been her “Made of Honor”. Check out these images, she is so photogenic.
