I haven’t posted anything on a personal level in a while but I feel that I need to try to reach as many people as possible with this. If you follow me on Facebook/Twitter, you probably know that we are looking to find a home for a small doggie we found. She has no microchip so we don’t know her name.  We’ve named her “Chica” for the time being. Someone must have abandoned this dog as she is older and not in the best condition. How can people do something like that? For some people it is easier to do that than to try to help. Candace and I have a major soft spot for things like that. These little guys have no way of communicating their pain so I feel that people like us need to stand up and do the talking for them.

This poor doggie may not have much time to live, she has some problems with her back legs and she is partially blind.  The vet thinks she is 12-15 years old. She sleeps most of the time. We would love to find someone that can take care of her. We already have 2 doggies and we can’t have another one but we will also not take her to a place that will put her down because of her condition. I want to thank my vet Dr. Loeser for donating her time by doing all kinds of test, shots, dental and more. Also want to thank Natalie who initially found the dog before we took her.

On a different note, this whole experience made me think about doing something for my community. I want to give back by offering my photography to the local Humane Society or a Doggie Rescue Organization and take pro images of those “stray paws”. I think that it will help finding a home faster if they have amazing images, similar to match.com, except you will not be disappointed when you meet them.

I need your help for a possible new photo blog for dogs. Please suggest a cool, funny, catchy name.  So far we have, Puparazzi, Pet Parazzi, Paw Parazzi, Stray Bullets, Stray Paws, Slobber Place. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. Happy Birthday mom!

Update (3/27): We found a nice home for Chica. We are so happy that we were able to do that and help a small dogie find a home. The efforts have paid of. Thank you to everyone that has stepped up and helped.

Laura and Gabriel are a fun couple who had their reception at the uber cool Miami Art Central. This was a real treat for us, in that it was a Miami venue we had never been to or even heard about before. The weather was also picture perfect, which made their rooftop party of 250 guests even better. It’s always good to run into previous and future clients at weddings. What an awesome gig this was.

My first wedding on my new blog is a good one. Jennifer was one of the most laid back brides we’ve had. You could tell she was just taking in the day and enjoying it. It also helps to have Events by Mariel behind the scenes so she didn’t have to worry about anything. Their wedding date happened to fall on Eric’s birthday and she surprised him with one of the most original birthday cakes I’ve ever seen. I guess that makes up for replacing his birthday with their anniversary!
